Wow!

I read the article by Dean and Rachel about Christmas lights. I will admit it is the first time I have read their column. I thought this publication was about the residents in the area and the joy and benefits of living here. This article seems in stark contrast to the rest of the publication. Guess I misunderstood.

I love the lights I see at this time of year. They lights up the world as we celebrate this time of year, which means different things to different people.

I am sorry I didn't like the article. I am sure Dean and Rachel put a lot of time and effort into it.

Jenn, thanks for your feedback. We asked the author of the column, Dean, to respond.

"While I'm appreciative of Jenn's feedback, I think the piece was taken too literally in this case. Much of what I'll write about is tongue-in-cheek, and would be pretty horrible if it were taken at face value.

"When we were originally approached about contributing to The Northwest Voice, we were asked to write our columns in the spirit of our "Dean and Rachel" radio show: light, clean, topical, fun, and occasionally irreverent. If in the column I even hit on one of those, I'm having a good day! Thanks for reading The Northwest Voice, and for writing in."
