1. What products and services do you provide?
Full service boarding, short and long term, for cats and dogs to include special feeding, medication administration and full professional grooming for the feline and canine species. We now have heated bed plates in each small dog run for the winter and all of our 70 dog runs have misters for the summer.

2. What are your specialties?
Dogs and cats are our specialty. Reasonable pricing with an emphasis on personalized attention to the individual animals is what we strive for.

3. What is your history/previous experience in this field?
In 1980, my wife and I started and still own a horse boarding facility in Northern California. When we were there, we placed an emphasis on helping the handicapped benefit from personal contact with animals. Now run by a manager, it is still quite successful and is a wonderful place to board a horse. Boarding of animals is not a new thing to us, as we have always owned cats and dogs.

4. How is your business different from your competitors?
The setting for our kennels is more of a country setting with lots of large trees and grass. Situated on two-and-half-acres, we raise tortoises, ducks, chickens, geese and peacocks. Our runs are quite large, with some of the dog runs measuring 10' x 20', the largest in Bakersfield. Our cat kennels are 5' x 9', a person could walk into them with ease. These runs overlook the yards with all of our birds. We refer to our cat kennels as a ‘room with a view!' Special services, such as special diets and/or the giving of medication, are a normal part of our service. We recently started publishing a quarterly newsletter to help keep customers informed of issues concerning their pets.

5. Are you offering any special deals or discounts?
On pets staying 30 days or longer, a 10 percent discount automatically applies.

Is there any additional information you'd like to provide?
As a team, we always strive to be the best, whether it be with boarding or grooming. Our purpose is to make our customer's pet have the best stay possible.
