"Will Santa make it on time? Will Christmas be cancelled this year?" Come see Hurry Up, Santa! at The Empty Space to find out! This delightful play by Bob Kempf and Andy Philpot pleases crowds of all ages. At the North Pole, the fate of Christmas Day is put in serious peril when Santa Claus accidently oversleeps! An evil TV newsman picks up on the story and sets out to destroy Santa's reputation. Soon enough, children and parents alike are worried sick. Leave it to six plucky elves do their best to get Santa on his way and save Christmas day! This wacky farce, fun for the whole family, is packed tight with song, suspense and comedy. It was such a favorite last year that we decided to bring it back! This fantastic cast features many original members from last year's holiday hit (Jason Monroe, Doug Cheesman, Ronnie Hargrave, Danielle Radon, Brandon Turner, Sarah Taylor, and Joe Mitchell) along with some fresh faces to complete the cast (Jeremiah Heitman, Jacqueline Beadling, Guinevere Park-Hall, Tracy Herda, Kelly Morris, Krista Whipple, and Michelle Pierce). Be sure to bring coloring books and crayons to donate to local children's shelters and receive a tasty holiday treat. Make this funny and sweet play part of your holiday season December 3 - 19. SHOW DATES: Hurry Up, Santa! will run December 3, 4, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18 at 8 PM with Sunday Matinees December 12 and 19 at 4 PM ADMISSION: As always, admission is FREE! Donations are gratefully accepted with a suggested donation of $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. RESERVATIONS: Seating is limited and can only be guaranteed with a reservation. For reservations or more information please call 327-PLAY LOCATION: The Empty Space is located at 706 Oak Street in Bakersfield CA in the Pizzaville Shopping Center.
