Casablanca will always be my favorite movie. How romantic is such a love trial? There's Humphery Bogart, the man Ingrid Bergman loved.... But then That Husband ended up being alive. The choice she made was so painful for me to watch.

But then again, if she left him, what would have become of all of them? Heartache and... well... Guilt.

I don't understand what is going on with this culture. They forget about the classics. Casablanca, Gone With the Wind, An Affair to Remember, It's A Wonderful Life... The list never ends. Nobody cares about them anymore. Are we going to let it just die? Those beautiful stories deemed boring and slow paced are the foundations of today's media culture. And nobody cares?

There's something wrong right there.

Go to Blockbuster. Rent an old movie. You'll be glad you did.

I love this article. What an intriguing topic. I love old movies, but I rarely watch them. I wonder why? We are living such a fast paced lifestyle, but it would be nice to sit down to an old treasure, such as Casablanca. Gone with the Wind is a favorite in my collection. What are everyone else's favorite old movies?

I'm a old-movie buff, thanks to my dad. We would stay up late and watch classics, which have always been my favorite flicks. Favorites, you ask? Definitely the "Nick and Nora" series (detective husband-and-wife team), as well as most Carole Lombard films. Favorite of ALL time has to be "My Man Godfrey" - check it out for a 1930's romantic comedy.
