In the Jan. 19 edition, we ran an ad for a Valentine's special. We are very proud of our wives and moms featured in the ad. However, we didn't realize the publication went directly to young children at school. We do regret if this has caused any issues for our Bakersfield families. While we consider the ad to be tasteful, we do also acknowledge it might be a little much for small children. As a conservative parent myself, I can understand if this upset anyone. We appreciate all of the positive feedback we have received from the community and we are pleased to reach so many of our clients through
The Northwest Voice. In the future we will be mindful that the paper may fall into a child's hands before the parents'.
