Bakersfield Bulldogs finish in the top 10 of 98 team tournament in Cooperstown, NY

The Bakersfield Bulldogs just completed five days of grueling baseball in the nations largest 12u baseball tournament held in Cooperstown, NY. The Bulldogs finished the week with a 7-3 record knocking off the #3 ranked team in the tournament on their way to a top 10 finish. Results and highlights of each game are as follows:
- Lost game 1 vs. Easton Dirt Devils (Az) 6-4 with Tucker Caldwell hitting one HR
- Won game 2 vs. Orlando Knight Owls (FL) 11-10 with Allan Winans hitting one HR
- Lost game 3 vs. Dunwoody Deamons (GA) 4-2 with a walk off HR in the bottom of the 6th inning
- Won game 4 vs. Mid City Desperados (TX) 13-5 with Kody Wright hitting 2 HR's, Monty Stevens and Ricky Sottile each hitting one HR and Tucker Caldwell hitting a Grand Slam.
- Won game 5 vs. Mokena Blaze (IL) 14-4 with Kody Wright hitting two HR's, Monty Stevens and Allan Winans hitting one HR each.
- Won game 6 vs. Tuscaloosa Red Sox (AL) 3-2 with Max Carter pitching a complete game striking out 13.
- Won game 7 vs. Carolina Raiders (NC) 9-8 with HR's by Tucker Caldwell, Max Carter, Ryan Unrun, and Caleb Thompson.
- Won game 8 vs. Chesterfield Xplosion (MO) 10-9 with HR's by Ryan Unruh, Kody Wright and Caleb Thompson. Kody Wright had a game winning RBI in the bottom of the sixth inning.
- Won game 9 vs. Dunwoody Deamons (GA) 11-3 with back-to-back-to-back HR's by Junior Felix, Ryan Unruh and Kody Wright. Monty Steven pitched a complete game.
- Lost game 10 vs. Okeeheelee Legends (FL) 10-9 with Tucker Caldwell hitting 2 HR's, Ryan Unruh and Kody Wright hitting one HR each.
The Bulldogs played nine teams from eight different states and were led with superb pitching by Monty Stevens, Max Carter, Junior Felix, Ryan Unruh, Allan Winans, Caleb Thompson, and Tucker Caldwell.
The Bulldogs also had representation in the "King of Swat" with Jake Karwoski belting a 250 foot homerun as well as Brooks Douglass making the finals and taking 2nd place in the "Golden Arm" competition out of 98 contestants.
The Bulldogs are managed by Cary Wright and coached by Don Unruh and Rick Sottile. The teams roster includes: Kody Wright, Ryan Unruh, Ricky Sottile, Max Carter, Junior Felix, Kyle Speaks, Jake Karwoski, Caleb Thompson, Monty Stevens, Allan Winans, Tucker Caldwell, and Brooks Douglass.
