WHEN ELMO GROWS UP
Introducing Abby Cadabby! The newest Muppet on Sesame Street joins Elmo, Zoe, Rosita and all of her furry and feathered friends in asking, ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ as they prepare for a pageant on Sesame Street. Get ready to sing cowboy songs, ride the rails and more with Sesame Street Live “When Elmo Grows Up.” When Elmo and his Sesame Street Live friends think about growing up, it’s a musical show-and-tell! as Bert dreams of becoming a forest ranger, Telly longs to be a cowboy and their newest friend, Abby Cadabby, wants to be a Fairy Godmother just like her mommy. Elmo thinks about becoming a ‘weather monster,’ but has a hard time predicting his own forecast—he wants to be anything and everything all at once! “When Elmo Grows Up” includes lessons on perseverance, teamwork and the power of imagination. Children learn that if they believe in themselves and are willing to try, the possibilities are endless.

Adults will hear music they’ll recognize and enjoy sharing with children, such as “Home on the Range,” “Down on the Corner” and “Give a Little Love.” “When Elmo Grows Up ” features nearly two dozen songs, including classics that children will love to sing along with such as “I Love Trash” and “Itsy Bitsy Spider.”
THE CAST
Bert, Big Bird, Ernie, Elmo, Oscar, Grover, Cookie Monster, Zoe, Rosita, Count Von Count, Abby Cadabby, Telly, Baby Bear, Prairie Dawn, Roxy Marie, Grundgetta, and Honker.

I simply remember being enamored when I was a kid. But, my favorite memory will always be seing my first child being enamored with it the first time. It was the first program that caught his attention, and he loved it so. The sun, moon, and stars rose and shun with Elmo. I will always remember his obsession.

My son loved Bert & Ernie, and one day while pulling off the 99 at California Ave. he threw Bert out the car window. He wanted me to stop and find Bert, which was a small little toy. Still, to this day everytime I get off the hwy. on California Ave. I think of Bert. My son is now 28 and has 2 kids of his own.

My son will be 2 years old on June 27th and he loves the Cookie Monster. He has a stuffed cookie monster that he sleeps with and when Sesame Street comes on he loves to see his Cookie Monster on the T.V. He doesnt talk much, but when he see's Cookie Monster on T.V. he gets so excited and he says its Cookie. When it is time for bed he asks for his Cookie. He has a toy that has 4 Sesame Street character and when you push or pull on the buttons on the toy a charactor will pop out of a door and sing a song, his favorit of course is cookie. He loves Sesame Street and he loves his Cookie. I would love to take him to see Cookie live for his birthday.

Utter the words, "Sesame Street" to most people and they will instantly think of an enormous yellow bird, a ravenous blue monster, or some other wacky puppet with a unique voice. Say, "Sesame Street" to me and I think of curly red hair and a fuzzy blue robe - I think of my mom. My favorite Sesame Street memory played out like a script each weekday morning: after my dad left for work, my mom and I would sit on the couch in our pajamas, eating some form of breakfast, and we'd watch Sesame Street together. Every morning. That was our time alone together, before it was time to start a day filled with shoes and clothes, chores and errands... It was before my brother was born, before my mom had to start working, before we were shipped off to a babysitter... Watching Sesame Street each morning with my mom is one of my favorite memories of childhood because it was just the two of us, bee-bopping to funky music while a purple vampire taught me how to count to 19. Thanks for the memories, Mom!
