A Monday Morning Suprise!!

I was surprised Monday morning, May 18th with a visit to my classroom, from my principal Mr. Weirather. No, I wasn't in trouble, quite the contrary. He had in tow three men, one with a smile, one with a camera, and one bearing gifts: a plaque, a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from All My Love Fresh Flowers and Gifts, a one hour message from Backcountry Orthopedic Massage and Wellness Centers, a $20 gift certificate to Qué Pasa, and movie tickets for the entire class from Edwards Cinema to see Narnia, Prince Caspian.
What a way to start off the week!! Apparently, I had been selected for Teacher of the Month from 97.7 the BREEZE and they came to share this astonishing surprise. I feel extremely honored to have been nominated for doing something I thoroughly love and have been blessed with the opportunity to do everyday, TEACH my wonderful 5th grade children at Bimat Elementary in the Norris School District. God has blessed me with the best job a person could ever have!!
A HUGE thanks to Janice Storey for the nomination and kind words, it has been my honor and privilege to teach your wonderful child Jenna Storey and the rest of the Baker Bunch kiddos. You all are the BEST and I will miss you next year. All my love and prayers for your continued success in the future!!
