  June 7 & 8 — Auditions for "Babies Having Babies"will be held at The Empty Space Theatre, 706 Oak St., on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. For more information, send Fred Burnett e-mail at: babieshavingbabies@yahoo.com or call 327-PLAY.

  June 7 — Memories In Motion that includes a walk, a 5K  run, and a 10K run, a health fair, an art show, with food and fun for the whole family that will benefit the Alzheimer's Disease Association of Kern County. Registration is $30 for the walk or run and begins at 7 a.m. at The Park at River Walk. Or you can pre-register for only $25 by calling 393-8871.

  June 7 — A Frontier High School Football rummage sale will be held on campus, 6401 Allen Road, starting at 6 a.m.

 June 14 — Civic Dance Theatre presents "Suess" at the Harvey Auditorium, 1316 G St., at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12, $8 for students, and $5 children for 6 and under.

  June 14 — Omnipresent Puppet Theatre will perform its production of "The Three Little Pigs" as a benefit for The Empty Space Theatre at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 14, at First Congregational Church in Plymouth Hall, 5 Real Road.  Admission is $3 per person, and there are no reserved seats.

June 14 — The Market Place fountain area will host World Wide Knitting in Public Day starting at 10 a.m.

June 14 — The Bakersfield Braves Baseball Club will host a golf tournament at the Sycamore Canyon Golf Course, 500 Kenmar Lane in Arvin.  Cost is $85 per player and includes green fees, a cart, and a barbecue lunch.   June 16-20 — Valley Baptist Church offers vacation Bible schoolwith the theme "Aloha! Surf's Up at Outrigger Island."
