On May 9, 2008 my school, Turner Christian Academy, hosted a prom at the Bakersfield Racquet Club banquet facilities. Candelit tables near the edge of the pool gave the water a shimmering irridescence and the evening a magical, ethereal aura. Inside, the dancefloor illuminated by the strobe lights was lined with radiant youths joyously dancing. My friends and I had a wonderful time and our 2008 "Dancing in the Moonlight" prom is an event I am sure none of us will soon forget.
