Mothers Day will be here in 13 days, but who's counting? Mother's day is in my top three "holidays" for numerous reasons. First, I am a mom; therefore, I am treated extra special on that particular day by our daughters, (no prompting necessary by my husband) Secondly, mothers day gives me the opportunity to reflect on how I am doing as a mom, a personal review to determine what I can do better on or give myself a "Your doing alright" to myself. Lastly, mothers day allows me to give thanks to God that he entrusted me to guide these two blessings through the good and bad of life, knowing that when all is said and done, I pray that He will look at me and say, " Thank you for taking such good care of our girls."
They will soon be off in college, calling home for money or hopefully an update on how there daily lives are going. One thing will always be true. I will always be their mom. Ready to give them a hug, an encouraging word, an irritating song, an I love you forever just because I didn't say it enough today.
Whether you are a stay at home mom or a working mom......know you are loved and appreciated and enjoy each moment of your mothers day. Have mothers day pride! It is the hardest job you will ever have!
