Our eldest daughter walked in from school today and said, "I smell blueberry muffins" I smiled as I looked at our daughter, feeling so blessed to be able to create that smell for her. I created a smell memory. I am sure some of you reading this will know what I am speaking of. I remember the smell of air, yes fresh air, when I was 5 years old in bed with hepititis. My older sister came home from school and gave me a hug and I smelled fresh air. To this day, I relate fresh air to my sister. I relate the smell of Wind Song and Cover Girl compact powder to my mom. I relate the smell of Brut and Old Spice to my dad. Those are the good memory smells. I smell corned beef and cabbage and I think of my Aunt Flo...yes, the name sais it all. When I smell Noxzema, I think of 8th grade...the worst year of my life. No, I don't purchase Noxzema for our girls. So, smells are everlasting memories..make them good blueberry muffin smells.
