0 responses 0 comments Tim and Marlia Maples are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carla Kay Maples, to Christopher Alan Sheldon, son of Larry and Susan Spainhoward and Cliff and Debbie Sheldon.

Carla is a graduate of the class of 2000 from Foothill High School, and the Massage Training Institute. She is currently employed as a bookkeeper at United Distribution.

Chris is a graduate of the class of 1995 from South High School and later attended Wyoming Tech, where he received a certification in collision refinishing and custom body paint and repair. He is currently employed at Kern Body Works as a painter.

It was love at first sight, followed by a whirlwind romance, which included friends and families from their childhood. This magical introduction was an arrangement through a longtime friend of Carla's and Chris' sister-in-law, Tricia Spainhoward.

On June l8, Chris whispered, "Will you marry me?" and Carla shouted, "Yes!"

The wedding will be held Oct. l5, 2005, at Hodel's with a reception immediately following. After honeymooning in Oahu, Hawaii, the couple will make their home in Bakersfield.
