On Aug. 16, California Pizza Kitchen, or CPK, provided over 100 lunches for Frontier High School staff and new teachers in the library.
Sandwiches, pasta and salad made what one teacher called “about the best school lunch” she’d ever had. Principal, William Bruce remarked how great it was to see all the enthusiastic conversation around the tables. Apparently, about half of the new teachers are also new to Bakersfield, so it was a good time to get acquainted over a fine Italian meal.
The food was served by Pastor Don Brewer of Kern River Church and some of his family, Cody Bowling and Bob Hodel.
The meal was arranged by principal Bruce and Michael Ainsworth, general manager of CPK. Additionally, the CPK corporate office gave a $10 gift certificate to each new teacher.
Nancy Brewer, Pastor Brewer’s wife, expressed her gratefulness to CPK and principal Bruce for this opportunity to love the Frontier High School staff in such a tangible way.
Go Titans!
