14U Blast finishes fifth in central valley tournament

The Bakersfield Blast 14 and under team took fifth place at the June 4 and 5 Clovis Bullets Summer Bash tournament in Clovis, Calif. The team earned a record of 2-2 with wins against Hanford Flames (8-1) and Tulare Thrill (8-1) and losses to Clovis East Outlaws (4-3) and Porterville Predators (5-4).
The team's next tournament is June 18 and 19 in Hanford, Calif.
The team consisted of Caitlin Absher, Katie Blackwood, Laura Fox, Bryanna Hernandez, Ashley Krugh, Courtney McCormack, Ashley Mills, Alyx Munden, Ashlee Rich, Amber Sarti and Caitlin Witt. Head coach is David Krugh and assistant coaches are Steven Blackwood, Julianna Hernandez and Scott Sarti.
