The open boys basketball team, coached by Randy Robinson, placed second in the Kern County Tournament. They had an impressive season record of 31 wins, eight losses.
The girls open team placed first in the Kern County Tournament, defeating Freedom Middle School in the championship game. They dominated the season with a 28 win and four loss record. Darren Grisham, the five-year coach of the girls team, commented, "The girls were very dedicated and worked hard all season. They deserve this title as the number one girls open basketball team in the county!"
