The Bakersfield Strikers will be teaming up with Bakersfield's new PDL soccer club, The Bakersfield Brigade, and conducting tryouts for the 2005 season. The Strikers will formally change their name at the beginning of the 2005 season and will play under "The Bakersfield Brigade" name.
Youth soccer tryouts for the Bakersfield Brigade will be held Sunday, March 6, from noon to 2 p.m. Tryouts will be for teams U8 though U19 for both boys and girls, and will be conducted at Liberty Park (corner of Brimhall and Jewetta), across from Liberty High School.
