Mercy Me began in 1994 and, as God made it clear, soon realized their role as a band was to help meet the growing hunger for praise and worship music.
Lead singer Bart Millard says, “Worship is truly the heart of the band,” and believes that King David expressed it best as it states in the Bible, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.”
Mercy Me continues to accomplish this calling as they have been leading thousands upon thousands in worship ever since.
Their strong passion for worship has led them to the creation of six independent projects, including “The Worship Project” and “Almost There,” with hits such as “I Can Only Imagine,” “In You” and “Call To Worship.”
Mercy Me looks at the opportunities the Lord has given them as a complete privilege to praise God with their music.
Drummer Robby Shaffer says, “We want people to know that we’re normal and we’re not trying to be holier than thou or trying to put religion in your face. We’re just being who we are.”
Do not miss this opportunity to hear one of the most celebrated bands in Christian music!
