Many Rosedale families were invited to participate in this reenactment by dressing in costumes of Wise Men, lambs, angels, donkeys, mice, drummer boys and, of course, the Baby Jesus. The Lahorgues turned their backyard into a miniature Bethlehem, collecting "taxes" (canned food for the Rescue Mission) as the entrance fee. A wonderful time was had by all that evening, and it truly set in motion the true meaning of the Christmas season.
