Cristi Tallman lives in the Northwest. She loves tiramisu and experimenting with different flavors. She said that next she's going to add banana. Cristi makes the dessert for her husband, Trevor, daughter, Bianca, and any other dinner guests they may have.
Raspberry Tiramisu
1 cup raspberry jam
6 tablespoons Grand Marnier
1 pound mascarpone cheese, at room temperature
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
30 soft ladyfingers
3 baskets fresh raspberries
Powdered sugar
Mix the jam and 4 tablespoons of the Grand Marnier in a small bowl.
Combine the mascarpone and remaining 2 tablespoons of orange liqueur in a large bowl.
Beat the heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla in another large bowl until soft peaks form. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture. Using a trifle bowl, layer ingredients beginning with ladyfingers. Drizzle with the jam mixture. Then spread the mascarpone mixture over the top and cover with fresh raspberries. Repeat layering 3 times. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight. Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.
