I will miss you Mrs. Martin!

Most people know Dana Martin as the editor of The Northwest Voice, but I know her for more than that. Mrs. Martin was one of the nicest, coolest, and just all around best substitute teachers I have had. Everyone knew who she was. All of the boys wanted her as a teacher so much! If you look in the front of the book you will know why.

Not too long ago Mrs. Martin took a job as a editor for The Voice. On her last day of being a substitut she taught my class. She told us how it was her dream to be an editor and that she was going to fulfill her dream, and she did. So now all I can say is good job Mrs. Martin! I'm going to miss you!

My Wonderful Little Brother

I would like to recognize Kendal Eaton for being such a wonderful little brother. He is constantly trying to make my parents and me happy by doing extra for us (making my bed, making breakfast or dinner, making "movie theater" snacks for our home movies, drawing us pictures, etc.). He is also a born comedian and can always make me laugh. He is a good student in school and qualifies for honor roll all year long. Kendal is also an athlete and excels in soccer and baseball. He is an overall great brother and makes my life more fun. I love you Kendal!

Engaged!

Ken and Rendy Kabinoff, along with Bill and Neva Packer, are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter/ granddaughter, Whitney Nicole Kabinoff to Steven Soldati. Whitney is a 2005 graduate of Centennial High School. Both Steven and Whitney attend Chico State, which is where they met. This fall will mark Whitney's fourth and final year as next spring she will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and a minor in Musical Theatre Dance. Steven's home town is Walnut Creek, CA, where his parents Mark and Cena Soldati reside, along with his sister Carrie. He is a Civil Engineering major and will also graduate in 2009.

Steve proposed to Whitney on Pali Ke Kua Beach on Kauai January 7, 2008. The two will be married on June 6, 2009 in Chico.

Way to go, Fruitvale girls! We have enjoyed watching you and your friends grow into beautiful young women!
