My name is Olivia and I am the Publisher of The Northwest Voice.
 

Many of you may already know our wonderful editor, Dana Martin who is a proud Northwest Voice resident, mommy and wife. If you haven't had a chance to meet her, I encourage you to do so! She can help you with how to contribute stories and photographs, create a profile on our web site, receive The Northwest Voice or even connect you with our Advertising Team.

The Northwest Voice is 4 years old and continues to grow in readership and star status :-) We get calls from all over the country and globe from publishers and editors who want to create a similar citizen journalism community publication like ours.

A little more about me:
I have been in the journalism business for nearly 15 years. I knew this was the business I wanted to go into after being influenced by my high school college prep English teacher and my high school journalism teacher.
Bakersfield holds a special place in my heart: I love working in the community where I was born and raised.
I am married to a local deputy sheriff, and we have three handsome sons. We are expecting a fourth son soon!
We also have three beautiful German Shepherds.
I am a Fresno State grad. Go Bulldogs!
 

I love the Northwest Voice becauses it's all about you and what's important to you. It's exciting to see all these great community contributions and photo submissions.
