About Lauren
I'm the proud editor of The Northwest Voice newspaper and online community.
A Bakersfield native, I went to Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Garces High School. I attended the University of Southern California (Go Trojans!) and graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 2002.
I love living in Bakersfield. I spend most of my time with my boyfriend, J.P. My favorite restaurants are Woolgrower's and Uricchio's. During work hours, you can often see me grabbing a coffee at Dagny's. I also love attending events at the Crystal Palace and Fox Theater.
My favorite movies are "The Princess Bride," "Sunset Boulevard" and "Pulp Fiction." My favorite books are "To the Lighthouse," "The Awakening" and "A Confederacy of Dunces."
