The Northwest Voice

Writing is a hobby - I love it.  Humor is a favorite genre but I also write short stories and poetry.  I am currently working on a non-fiction book, portions of which are taken from my mother's diaries spanning almost 60 years.  It will take a while but I will get it finished. 

My favorite people are my grandchildren.  They keep me involved in all sorts of activities and I love being with them.  My friends are also high up on my list of favorite people.  Of course, my adult son and daughter are high up on that list too but that should not be a surprise to anyone! 

I write "Let's Laugh" and "Silver LIning" for the Northwest and Southwest Voice and I also interview interesting people and write about some of the events around town, especially those directed at the senior population.  I love it.  Boredom is never a problem in my life.  In fact, I treasure time when I can just sit down and think! 

I am a member of the Writers of Kern and enjoy meeting with people who share a passion for writing.  We meet once a month and always have a program that "fires us up" until the next meeting!
