Wow! As a teacher and parent I completely agree! You can add the coach to that as well because s/he doesn't need the potential Olympian who tears a team apart but a player who does his/her best and brings out the best in others. This makes the statement, "The most intelligent are not the most successful," ring true. Wonderful column!
