READ ACROSS AMERICA

I had such a wonderful time yesterday at Almondale School.  I was part of the Read Across America readers for that school.  I must say Mrs. Richard's and Mrs. Johnson's classes were absolutely marvelous.  They were polite, attentive, and it was my pleasure to read to them from my books. And did they ever have some great questions for me to answer.  Thanks to all the second and third graders that let me be a part of Read Across America at their school. You kids are awesome!

I had fun, too, Peg!  It was nice running into you!

Peg, what a great thing to do.  I participate in a reading program at an elementary school too and I must say, I don't know who gets the most benefit from it - me or the kids!  They read to me, however, and I am trying to help them improve their reading skills.  Either way, it's a good thing to do.  Just think, if we make a positive impact on just one life that lasts them for the rest of their life, we've done something really good!
