This Weekend We found another Passion we have will be here Gee Did We say love anything to Do with Cars Trucks Motorcycles 4x4's ... Well Guess what Lowriders lets say We can spend Days looking at also ... Hey would love to put Bakersfield Bako area on the Map for Lowriders too

Lowrider Owners and Lowrider Fans come from all walks of Life deplicting the Lowrider True Meaning of a Casual Lifestyle of Low and Slow Crusing ... as in Hey Hombre Hey Chica Slow Down Enjoy Life (Hispanic Style) then also as in Look Mr Mrs Ms Bubba Buddy Bro Hey Chick Hey Lady we are a Proud Tradition of Custom Cars we are anyone who likes Casual

Then Looking at Lowriders the Customization is True Engineering Magic and Design ... We're here in Bakersfield,Ca we hit a Cold Snap at Freezing 28 degrees been so long since that cold snapped a Cold Water Pipe that was unsecured ... Brrrrrrrrrrr to us is going down to Walmart and buying Rayon/Polyester Sweat Suits to Keep Warm

My Sister in Oklahoma actually lives in the Ice Belt Section see on the Weather Channel in USA she went nearly 2 weeks with No Power

The Jeff Foxworthy Joke we made was

You may be a Redneck if You climb into Your Pickup because is the only Heater You have

My Sister says People are driving on Icy Roads just so they can feel Heat LOL "Hey Ya want me to run to the store fer ya " is how they say it in Okie land

They use Landmarks and minutes there ...The Directions would be go to the House with the Red Barn it's down the road a piece about 10 Minutes then You turn right ...then You drive about 5 minutes till come to a bridge go over bridge will see a Y in Road go to Left then drive about 2 minutes and will see a big white house with a broken fence post ... Yep thats where your going ... Just down the Road a Piece  ... There down the Road a Piece can be 60 miles with all these weird descriptions but you will get there

Course you have to know at a Y sometimes if it means you go down the Hill or Up the Hill the Right might mean You Go Right Up the Hill and the House is on the Top not right as in Turn Right ...

Now if You can understand this You might be an Okie Redneck

Just a bit of a whoa nellie bell we're still safe as watching the bits of frosty ice sliding off the stable of vehicles we have and watching as the roof of house is sighing a sigh of relief ... Our Great Town has survived once again or is more to come LLY isn't off to many times ... Heeeeeeeeeeeello Bakersfield

The question now having is Hey are We Wimps or not??? ... watched yesterday the News Caster from Denver giving Cold Weather Tips and just watching the video were feeling Frozen to the Bone ... going Oh My God 4th big snow storm to hit them ... Brrrrrrrrr Cold and watching the video of the Honda mini van careening on icy road out of control hitting the light pole made Us feel safe

Then not to procrastinate any longer ... We wimpy as can be in our house bought just a little under a year ago were down at Lowes on Rosedale buying a much needed Water Heater Blanket ... plus as told the Sales Lady  I know you probably heard this so many times this week can you direct us to the Plumbing Wrapping materials ...

Low and behold like a Traffic Cop giving directions might of as well had the hands waving like a Airport Landing Parking Person had hands waving ... There's a Row to the Rear there are some here and then also in the Front ...

We bought the Aluminum Tape plus the Tubing to insulate the Pipes ... Gee didn't know that they have a Foam Spray you spray to cover the pipes ... About died laughing when a Lady with either her friend or Sister grabbed a whole case of it Wham Bam Thank You Man I am Out of here style ...

Left Us with a Smile going Yeah Baby now theres a Mass Consumer and a Neighbor I'd like to know in person ... She knew what she wanted and just went for it without a Blink of an eye ...probably could even pull off the best poker bluff too ... you see you can't be faint of heart and sometimes got to step up and grab what you want ... biggest secret to success is know what you want and then go for it

Well needless to say we bought them plus what the Heck what also needed was Door weather stripping ... Good thing to check is can you see Daylight when your doors are closed ... Whoops ours Front Door sure did (Our Castle our  Home was built in 1964 when they built real houses septic tanks lap and plaster real wood galvanized plumbing pipes so can see how many years the utility companies made money on this ) and filling that Air Gap is amazing the Chill at Front door is nearly gone Hooray ...

She when caught her with this cutey black one said she was from as she said not the best side of Shafter as if a Oh No! ... will think I am not good enough to talk to me ... Yeah We're glad We Met You! You made Our Day!

So this Weekend as the Cold snap hits Us be glad we're not up to Our Bellies in Snow or as  Sister is in Northeast section of Oklahoma in the Ice Belt section see in the Weather reports and maybe Say Hi Hi Neighbor Glad I Met Ya then have a Great Weekend knowing we live in one of the Best Towns in the World

Talking feeling Old out of the Navy 31 Years today and the 1st Marriage would have been 34 Years ... Jer says Man Oh Man God I sure am glad I have had the Fantastic Life I have had ... Thanks God Family and Friends You Make Life well worth living I have few regrets ... Great to be Older! You can get away with Craziness and call it Old Age! ...
